Culottes are hot!

Mode is cyclisch, althans dat wordt beweerd.

Fashion trends are cyclical, at least, that's what they say.

When Marthe from Compagnie M. launched her latest culottes pattern, I was catapulted back in time. During my teenage years in the late eighties, beginning of the nineties I had quite some culottes in my closet. Pastel pink culottes!?! And I really loved to wear them back then.

It never hit my mind that those culottes would be hot again in 2015. Something must be true about fashion and cycles.

Initially, with the pink thing in my head, I wasn't quite a culottes fan. My brain needed time to get used to the idea.  Little by Little some lovely Nina's appeared in blog country and I ceded.

When Marthe asked for testers for the 'little girls version' I applied and was really lucky to get picked.

And then stress stroke me, 'cause I never sewed a fly before and had to find the perfect 'culottes fabric' but that wasn't necessary after all. On my way home I stopped at the 'De Stoffenkamer' and there, I fell head over heels in love with the perfect fabric. It was right there (behind the counter that is)! The Nina instructions easily guided me through all the steps.

Soon my littlest had perfect culottes in her closet. She is so happy with the freedom of movement that comes along with them. And I, I'm happy with that cyclical fashion.

Hope you enjoyed my first English blog post ever. Forgive me my mistakes, high school English classes seem immemorial.
